The Microsoft Internet browser is still leader with 58.1% market share, it is in distress for several months (8 points lower in a year) and faces competition from other browsers, Mozilla Firefox in particular is in turn used by nearly one in three (32.5%). Free, it enjoys a good image in addition to better meet the standards, like Chrome, Opera or Safari which all three combined 8.6% market share. It is time for the Redmond company to respond and Internet Explorer 8 would be the answer. Detailed in overview of the Internet Explorer 8 RC1, IE8 is more respectful of the standards, opening new horizons for designers of websites, and includes many new features more in line with its competitors, who have taken since the release of Internet Explorer 7 several lengths ahead. An indiscretion from a representative of Taiwan indicates that Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 will be officially launched on 20 March 2009 as part of MIX 09, one of the annual appointment of the web organized by Microsoft in Las Vegas. Pete Le Page, product manager of Internet Explorer, will present news, such as accelerators, which allow direct access to many online services (maps, translation, sharing) simply by highlighting the contents of a web page.
