I’ve been looking all this time since 6.0 release until Windows 8 officially gone live for something better, something to improve user experiences like updated themes and applications. But sadly, no better alternatives released since 6.0. Hence, I’m releasing 6.5 as refreshed build fixing problems in 6.0 instead.

For several years, Microsoft researchers are working on a new operating system. Known as Midori, this new OS is based on the work initiated by Microsoft Research Singularity in 2003. The goal is to completely rethink the Windows operating system as designed today in order to fill the gaps, whether bugs or errors caused by plugins or drivers. These weaknesses result from a thought architecture in the 60s and 70s, which would not have changed since then. Midori is not based on the NT kernel, but on a new microkernel.

On August 1st Microsoft announced that it has completed Windows 8 (RTM). This version of Windows 8 was only available to professional subscribers to MSDN and TechNet programs, or individuals but as a trial version. But since today (October 26th) all users can have access and buy this new edition of Microsoft Windows. If you want to get one version for yourself here are the possible ways to get it.

When we had old design here at WindowsXLive.net few weeks ago, I wrote an introduction blog about ooVoo messenger which I am using for quite a while now and i must admit it really surprised me with number of great options it offers. Before him I was using Windows Live Messenger but ooVoo beat him almost in any area. One of features I really like is its ability for site owners to embed ooVoo’s video chat room right within their website, blog or social network.
