UXTheme Multi-Patcher 10.0 – 8/8.1 Glass theme is now supported
I planned to release UXTheme patcher updates with 8/8.1 glass support yesterday someone reported UXTheme Multi-Patcher caused infamous black screen bug just before releasing it… Well, I was terrified. How could such a service patching theme engine files through memory patching lead to this? So I digged up some search about ‘UxStyle black screen’ and found these

Further investigation reported that even Microsoft update itself randomly caused it sometimes. Although the chance to get black screen from UxStyle is very low but I’ll apply permission fixes to all related files hoping this will secure your system from black screen bug after patching. If you have any Transformation/UX Pack installed, please reinstall UXTheme Multi-Patcher to make sure you won’t get in trouble after applying updates. I’ll update Windows 8 projects soon with these issues covered.

UXTheme Multi-Patcher 9.1 – UX Style unified
After releasing LiveTuner, I came to the realization that all other projects’ user interface should be unified with the same UX style as well. So today I’m starting with UXTheme Multi-Patcher project. Aside from UX style, I also added more information about detected operating system that could help asserting situation when things go wrong.

UXTheme Multi-Patcher 9.0 Released – Windows 8/8.1 support with complete UxStyle memory patching
It’s been so long since last time I updated this project. Back then there was hardly reliable Windows 8 patches. Since I started to apply UxStyle memory patching in previous release, I planned to make complete memory patching build in next version so all Windows since XP can use this without trouble and now I can do this after releasing OS X Mavericks updates with Windows 8.1 support.
UxStyle for Windows 8/8.1 Progress
UxStyle will allow customized visual styles to be used in Windows without modifying system files and has been integrated in Windows 8/Lion projects for a while. Rafael started donation pool for Windows 8.1 support few months ago and finished with some little help from me so he kindly mailed me about some progress here.
